MISSION
The Red River Valley Family Resource Center's mission is to enhance students' abilities to succeed in school by developing and sustaining partnerships that promote:
· Early learning and successful transition into school
· Academic achievement and well-being
· Graduation and transition into adult life
GOALS
The goal of the Red River Valley Family Resource Center is to meet the needs of all children and their families who reside in the community and neighborhood served by the school in which the center is located.
GUIDING PRINCIPLES
· All children can learn and most at high levels
· Creation of an atmosphere that empowers the child, youth and/or family to acquire competency is necessary to meet the needs and achieve the goals of attaining an education
· An inter-agency focus shall be developed
· Assuring community ownership is important

· Parent and Child Education
· Family Literacy services
· Home Visits
· Child Development Education
· Transitioning Programs
· Health services or referral to health services
· Basic needs assistance/referrals
· Educational Support and Student Enrichment
· Adult Education referrals
· Parent resource materials - Lending Library (books, videos, etc.)
ALL services of the FamilyResourceCenter are available to any student attending Red River Valley Elementary and their families regardless of race, religion, or income.
